These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of thetazers.com and any purchases you make from us. By placing an order you accept these Terms. Please read them carefully.
About us
The Tazers is a South African band based in Johannesburg. For any questions about an order, email orders@thetazers.com. For general enquiries, info@thetazers.com.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) to place an order. By placing an order you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
Products
We make every effort to display our merchandise accurately. Colours may appear slightly different on different screens, and sizes are intended as a guide. If you have a question about an item before ordering, please email us.
Stock is limited. We reserve the right to limit quantities per order and to refuse orders at our discretion (for example, where stock is exhausted or where we suspect fraud).
Pricing
All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted.
Orders and payment
- An order is placed when you complete the checkout process. We will send you an automated email confirming we have received your order.
- Acceptance of an order only takes place when we ship it and send you a dispatch email. Until then, we may decline an order for any reason.
- Payment is processed by Yoco using a secure payment form. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other methods Yoco supports.
- If your payment fails or is declined, your order will not be processed. You will need to retry the payment or contact Yoco support for your card.
Shipping and delivery
- We currently ship within South Africa only. A flat-rate shipping fee of R100 applies nationwide.
- Orders are typically dispatched within 3 to 5 business days of payment clearing.
- Once dispatched, delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days depending on your location. Remote areas may take longer.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes to you once we have received full payment.
- We are not liable for delays caused by the courier, weather, public holidays, or other factors outside our reasonable control.
Cancellations
You may cancel an order before it has been dispatched by emailing orders@thetazers.com. Once dispatched, the order cannot be cancelled but may be returned in line with our Refund and Returns Policy.
Returns and refunds
Please see our Refund and Returns Policy. It sets out your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act and the cooling-off period that applies to most online purchases.
Intellectual property
The Tazers’ name, logo, music, videos, photography, designs, and website content are protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially use any of our content without our prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use (for example, sharing a photo on social media with credit) is welcomed.
User conduct
You agree not to use the website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, and not to interfere with the operation of the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or distribute malware. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the website or any purchase you make. Our total aggregate liability arising out of any order is limited to the total amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Force majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to load-shedding, strikes, natural disasters, supplier failures, courier disruption, or government action.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to the courts of South Africa, without prejudice to your rights to refer a complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman or the National Consumer Commission where applicable.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
