We want you to be happy with your Tazers merch. If something isn’t right, here’s how returns and refunds work.
Your 7-day cooling-off right (online purchases)
The South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 gives you the right to cancel an online order without giving a reason, within 7 calendar days of receiving it. To exercise this right:
- Email orders@thetazers.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number.
- Return the item in its original, unworn, unwashed condition with all tags attached and the original packaging.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the item.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we will refund the purchase price (excluding the original shipping fee) within 30 days.
Defective, damaged, or incorrect items
The South African Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 gives you the right to receive goods that are of good quality, free from defects, safe, and as described. If you receive merchandise that is defective, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered:
- Email orders@thetazers.com within 6 months of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos.
- We will arrange the return at our cost and, at your choice, offer a replacement, repair, or full refund (including original shipping).
- Refunds in this case are paid within 30 days of us receiving the returned item.
Items that are not eligible for return
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered.
- Items missing tags, original packaging, or accessories.
- Sale items, gift cards, and downloadable digital products.
- Items returned more than 7 days after delivery (unless defective per the Consumer Protection Act).
How to start a return
- Email orders@thetazers.com with your order number and reason for return.
- We will reply with the return address and any further instructions, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
- Package the item securely with all original tags and packaging.
- Ship the parcel via a tracked courier of your choice. We recommend keeping the tracking number — we cannot refund items that go missing in transit if there is no proof of dispatch.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are paid via Yoco back to the original payment card or method used at checkout. Depending on your bank, the refund may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement after we process it.
Cancellations before dispatch
If you change your mind before we have dispatched your order, email orders@thetazers.com and we will cancel and refund you in full (including shipping). Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled — it falls under the cooling-off rules above.
Exchanges
We currently do not run a formal exchange process. To swap an item (for example, for a different size), please return the original under the cooling-off process above and place a new order for the replacement. If the item you want is sold out, we are sorry but we cannot guarantee restock dates.
Lost parcels
If your parcel has not arrived within 14 business days of dispatch, email orders@thetazers.com. We will lodge a trace with the courier and keep you updated. If the parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will replace it or refund you in full.
